GroupeThe miller’s house and the windmill
Partcipants will be immersed into the world of New-France. For about an hour, they will visit the miller’s house as well as the windmill. In each you will find a interpreter-guide who will speak about his life and will lead the historical workshop.

 

GroupeThe interpretation centre
Participants will be introduced to the process of cultivating grain from the sowing to the milling. In the interpretation center there are different life-sized stations to help the student understand the process of grain culture and its transformation into flour. Students will also be able to activate a replica of the mill's mechanism which is the main attraction of the centre.

 

Tir-à-l'arcArchery workshop   
One of our guides will teach both young and old the techniques of archery. Your group will then be able to practice on targets in complete safety. Our guide will also integrate some historical facts about the relationship between the First Nations and the inhabitants of Pointe-du-Moulin during the Seigniorial regime.

 

Rabaska and small water crafts workshop
By taking a trip in a rabaska, a type of Native water craft, one of our guides will show your group the importance of the Saint-Louis lake and the Saint-Lawrence river in the lives of the inhabitants and explorers three hundred years ago.

Native's Delight

New activity to discover at the historical Park of Point-du-Moulin. Visitors will learn how to start a camp fire and hoe to make banique. They will cook it themselves over the fire. Banique is nut and lactose free.

Children can take advantage of our natural environment in the frame of the activities on our programme our to take part in some friendly games.
